My Holiday Card

I wanted to do something fun this year with my guys so I chose this shot for the front - it's my favorite shot of them recently. I loved this square tri-fold design - it's not something you see that often.

Great Outdoor Session

All the ingredients were there for a great session: cute, nice kids, a great day and a nice parent (it's amazing how important parents' behavior is in the session - they can really make it or break it!) And there was a really adorable dog to boot!

Janie & Jack Store Shoot

In October I did a three-day shoot at the Janie & Jack store at KOP Mall as part of a store promotion, contracted with a company called Precious Time Photography (yourkidsreally.com). They also do in-store sessions at Pottery Barn Kids. Of the 30 sessions, this was my favorite. These guys were trying on clothes for a wedding and were so adorable and cooperative. I had to use a white backdrop, which I've never done before (I love black and dark brown) but I have to say I kinda liked it, especially with this particular session. Might have to consider adding that in the studio!

These adorable girls were so cute with their newborn brother, and they were game for anything we suggested.

Tickle Fest!

My favorite family shots are the ones that happen after I say "Now everybody tickle each other!!" When people ask if I do family portaits, it's always a "Yes, but..." kind of answer. If they're looking for formal portraits I'm definitely not the gal for them!

I'm going to hang one of these in my studio, a really big square. I'm renovating the studio and adding a showroom and this is exactly the kind of family shot I've been wanting to display.

I just got a new loveseat to pile families in and can't wait to see the fun photos I can get from it!

Love love love these girls!

Had a blast with this wonderful family at the Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill. If you haven't been there, go. Right now. It was amazing! Did I mention I love these girls? Boy did they make my job easy - they were so cooperative and were truly having a great time exploring. (Me too!) It is really liberating for me to get out of the studio.
