Tis the season

This is one of my favorite holiday cards this season. It just makes me smile.

My new favorite shot

Sometimes the best shots are the unplanned ones. There's a shot I love to do whether in the studio or outside - kids lie down on the ground or floor and I shoot from above. I couldn't get it to work during this session, but thankfully I was still on the ladder when this gorgeous baby looked up at me. Precious! I love that face.

Favorite shot of the week

My favorite shots these days are kids laying on the ground. This is at Merion Botanical Park near my house - it's gorgeous this time of year, with blasts of bright yellow. To take this I balanced myself on a tree stump and dangled over him. Love that expression.

Leaves!

I really wanted a photo of my guys in the leaves but they weren't really cooperative. I finally got them to do it, after promising them: 2 Hershey kisses and $3 each, and I had to make cookies that night. It was well worth it! I bought a new bag sample from Snaptotes.com with the first image, and it looks awesome.

I love seeing the progression to pure silliness. And I'm always so happy when parents adore these shots as much as I do.

Sheer misery

When clients get upset that their kids aren't cooperating during a photo session, I tell them "Your kids are nothing compared to my guys." (See first 2 photos for proof.) Had a horrific session today with my kids. The kind where you want to leave your children, head to the nearest pub and have a pint and forget that you even have kids.




...managed to get 2 decent shots, though, amidst all the crying, whining and general crappy behavior...

More summer favs

These beautiful girls were photographed at Forbidden Drive, right where Bells Mill Rd crosses. I used to live nearby - in my young, single days - and I've always loved this spot. The girls were a dream - and game for everything we suggested.
