More from the Shore
This series is called: I love my shell!
Yes, I'm obsessed with my 5-year-old's feet! They're still cute little baby feet to me - maybe I'm clinging to that since he's my youngest.
Waiting for the candy to drop.

Back from the shore
These are some of my favs from our few days at the Jersey shore....I'll post more later...it's after midnight and I'm pooped!
Mack & Manco Pizza in Ocean City - it doesn't get any better than this. We ate there 4 times...and we were only away 4 days!

Progression of silliness
I brought my guys into the studio recently and lots of silliness ensued. It's never easy to photograph my own kids! But aren't my green-eyed boys little dreamboats? (OK, I know I'm a bit biased.)

Oskar the (un)Grouch
This posting is for my best friend, who is going through a rough spot in her life. I thought it would make her smile. My cat sometimes sleeps with a paw over his face, as if he had a really bad day and is trying to block out the big, bad world. It cracks me up because all he does is sleep around the house all day - he has the easiest life!
The light was hitting him from the large windows nicely while he was on the table where I work. It's funny - he actually lies all over my papers - we have all these comfortable, soft places to lie down and he wants to be right on my piles of work.

Ice cream stand
Our neighborhood ice cream stand had really nice light one summer evening - I couldn't resist taking some shots. I'm always thankful I have my camera at these moments. My photography mentor Jeff Reeder has turned me into a "seeker of perfect light." I notice it all the time now. Thanks Jeff!
And I love how my little guy has the remnants of dinner on his mouth (pizza sauce) as well as the addition of chocolate ice cream on his chin. Precious.

New Baby Announcements!
I adore these new baby announcement cards - they're fun and whimsical and there's room for a bunch of photos. I'll post a few of the designs on my web site...but for now I just wanted to show this one. I was thrilled with how it turned out.

Senior Portraits
Here's another first for me - a senior portrait.
My photographer friend Jeff Reeder and I are starting a division specializing in creative senior portraits. We did a session with her in Old City and Jeff's shots came out great - he posted some on his blog (jeff365.blogspot.com) but she didn't like the headshot that the contracted photographer did...so she came to my studio for these. She's not hard to photograph, as you can see!

Shore shots!
This shot has horrible color - I couldn't even begin to fix it, but I love the expressions on my guys' faces on the Tilt-a-Whirl ride in Ocean City.
My favorite pizza in the whole world (except Taconelli's of course) is Mack & Manco in Ocean City. Sitting at the counter is fun because you get to watch the guys make the pizza. The night my husband proposed to me, way back in 1996, we ate at Mack & Manco's then somehow he got me on the ferris wheel, and that's where he popped the question!
My in-laws have a place in Ventnor so we go down a few times each summer. I had a blast jumping and riding waves with the boogie board and enjoyed watching my 5-year-old build stuff in the sand. I did not enjoy going on the Log Flume ride though! I felt obligated to go because my husband, who always goes on with them, wasn't there, and they really wanted to go on it. So I sat in the back, crouched down, closed my eyes and held on for dear life. And I lived to tell about it.
Just an aside -- my boys and I took the train from 30th Street Station to Atlantic City and it was great. (My husband went to the UFC fight Saturday night and came down after, and we didn't want 2 cars coming home.) It cost me $8 and the kids ride free on weekends. Very cool.

Mom and her Girls
Loved these adorable girls with their mom. I wanted to borrow them for a couple hours so we could do girlie stuff like paint our toenails and dress up like princesses! (As many of you know, I have 2 boys, so my life consists of hockey in the driveway, tennis in the street and baseball in the backyard.)

7-year-old in backyard
Finally getting some shots of my big guy. His big green eyes melt my heart. We were playing baseball in the backyard and the ball went to over the fence and I grabbed these shots. He's not usually this agreeable to photography!! The boys are off to the pool with dad so I can get some work done - or maybe a workout - yippee!

Love this photo
My friend came in for a family portrait today and I was thrilled with this one. It's not easy to get a good one with kids these ages...so I was practically turning cartwheels in my house!
